Jalaafr grew in the Nation of Kaz'Ulrah in the settlement of Southwood with his parents, Tarinder and Lafina in small village. His father was a master weaponsmith, and his mother was a well known trader. Lafina would often travel far from home looking to trade and sell Tarinder's weapons for other supplies that were needed. There were many times where Jalaafr would go months without seeing his mother and grew very close to his father. Since they were so close, Jalaafr was taught many of the skills his father knew and became a journeyman weaponsmith. Having 2 brothers and one sister and being the youngest of the bunch, Jalaafr was often made fun of for being the runt. It took a lot of time for his siblings to accept him. He grew very lonely during this time and practiced his skills as weaponsmithing. He eventually got his name out there as one of the best weaponsmiths in all of Atlas. Just three days after Jalaafr's twenty-seventh birthday, his mother fell very ill. Since he was the youngest child, he was looked too as the one who should have to take care of her. Not being close with her at all, he decided he should spend as much time with his mother as he could to get to know her. He spent the next 5 years of his life taking care of her and learning all she had known about the land of Atlas. He then decided he wanted to travel the lands and craft weapons for warrior all around the world. At the age of 53, Jalaafr was contacted by an Elder from the Clan of Gorkil. The Elder had asked Jalaafr to craft weapons and be loyal to the Orcish leaders, living in the Nation of Krugmar and being protected from all outside forces. Jalaafr, realizing that the Orcish Elder only wanted him to join them to be a slave worker, declined the offer and was very nervous to do so. The Elder sent many assassins after Jalaafr, forcing him to seek refuge in the land of Sutica. He spent years there, learning more about trade from a friendly citizen. He learned here how evil the Orcs were, as they sent many orcs to influence him and attempt to capture him and take him as a slave. After years of hiding, Jalaafr has finally decided to live his dream and travel the land, looking for a place to settle and craft weapons as his father did. At this point Jalaafr is 73 and is unsure of where to go, so he decided to take a boat to the mainland of Atlas and start following the first road he sees.
