You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Oh very well... my story..." *Kallus eases up as he looks at her with enthusiasm.* "Not many have the privilege to hear mine, so pay attention to my words. I was born in times of war, so since my childhood i've been around warriors, and learnt the art of war in between times of horror, sadness and dispair in this world. There wasn't many children who would live more than a couple years due to the famine and the horrific plague, but aggainst all odds, I did.
In my 13th anniversary, I instantly got gifted my first sword and set of armour and fell in love with them, I then went away with my father to the cold freezing mountains for a whole year for training. I learnt from him as much as I could, he was a brave swordsman and he teached me useful sword techniques to use in battle, aslong with war tatics knowledge.
My 14th anniversary marked the day we got back from the mountains to the depressing battlefield which by our numbers and territories that we had lost, seemed like wasn't going in our way. I quickly got sent by my father to help the wounded and wasnt long before I would find myself on a though situation. I dragged one of my comrades inside a wooden house, just so we would be a little hidden while I was bandaging his wounded leg. I could hear people outside but all my attention was on my friend. As soon as I turned around, I saw a whole wall of the house on fire... they had set the house on fire and locked up every window and door while we were inside. We tried opening everything by force, slamming our bodies on the doors but nothing seemed to work... All I can remember was collapsing on the floor and waking up in our medical tent with my body covered in burns and scratches, quickly opting to cover basically everything up with bandages, making me look like a Mummy.
I spent a whole year outside of conflicts due to the burns incapacitating me from any harsh movements, prefering to stay on our village helping on simpler tasks, but then all of a sudden I got news my father had been killed in action. My will got lost by those words, he meant everything to me and was the only other family member left alive. My heart got empty and I only wanted to escape this harsh reality... I then decided to migrate to the countryside, away from everyone and everything else going on. With this, I learnt how to take care of myself, built my own wooden hut and lived peacefully with my pet sheep and it stayed like that for a whole decade.
Then one day, a traveler passed by my house, with great shiny clothes and a rich-mans armor, he presented himself as Goldene. He offered me a task in exchange of a bag full of coins which I immediately accepted, I mean... I could use that to buy a new pair of boots! He told me to meet an elderly woman at these coordinates and take a secret potion back to his house and well... here I am, on this strange swamp full of a weirdly smell of rotten wood..."
