Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
She eyes the cushion the hag gestured to, before taking a breath and sitting down. Her back to the tent flap and legs crossed. "Expecting me? How have you been expecting me?" She queries, her tone uneasy and untrusting. "My story? I'm an . . ." She trails off, thinking to herself before sitting up straighter. "I'm an adventurer of sorts, I collect... things." She lets out a breath and glances around the tent, her eyes landing on a faded book. "I'm from the wood grove north of here. Left 'fore I was seventeen though, haven't been back since."
(I’m being vague because I don’t know what the world looks like or any towns to give her relation to)
She’s a nomad of sorts, though she has a permanent home somewhere in the forest. Sarlem is a cheerful wood elf who often finds herself on the trail to new places. She avoids conflict at all costs and her home is colorful but cluttered.
