    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming is taking advantage of the freedom given by the platform and the written roleplay to make a character more powerful by limiting the actions of other roleplayers. An example would be to claim a character is faster than anyone else's to justify

Eirwen was born and raised in the Kingdom of Aegrothond by a very protective family. She is an onlychild, her mother died in childbirth. Her father is a blacksmith and he has watched closely over her for the first 20 years of her life, encouraging her to develop practical skills, training her in swordplay and teaching her his craft. She spent the rest of her childhood with her cousin and considers her uncle and aunt almost as they were her own parents. She has never left Aegrothond and was only recently allowed a bit more freedom to wonder around and learn about the outside world on her own. She knows that her mother lived in Sutica before meeting her father and she dreams about the day she will finally receive permission to visit the town herself.

Character Age: 21
Physical Description: Eirwen is a very young-looking elf with a pale blue skintone, crimson eyes and snow white hair.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
