You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. "Oh, I just, uh…" you stutter, tensing up. You eye the crone, then back outside the tent. For a moment, the air thickens with anticipation, until…
Backstory: Sven son of Sven grew up in the rugged village of Skjoldheim, where he learned the art of combat and seamanship from his warrior father, Sven, and the tales of distant lands from his mother, Ingrid. As a young man, Sven helped defend his village from a rival clan, earning the title of Jarl. His mother and father were killed by the rival chieftain Bjorn. He escaped before he felt justice. Driven by a thirst for vengeance, he built a sturdy longship and set sail with a crew of loyal warriors. His daring voyages took him to uncharted lands, earning him fame as both a fierce warrior and a bold explorer. Unfortunately, after years of searching he found Bjorn, dead.... He sent his warriors home and he remained on that deserted island for years. He eventually felt a calling somewhere south, the signs had let him to (wherever location in lord of the craft i end up). Here he begins his new journey....
