    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: powergaming is forcing a action upon someone rather than giving them a choice

Varan was born to a middle class family in the citadel of Acael in the time of Axios and currently resides in Talar'ikur serving in the Ivae'Fenn. His father was a military man and therefore pushed him hard towards a military career. although he did not enjoy this he respected his fathers wishes and persured this. His father  worked towards impressing the Sylric family in order to become part of the bloodline, however he failed in his mission and Varan wants to continue to strive for this in the name of his father His mother was never around, he knew nothing of her and when he pushed his father to answer his questions he was met with a violent response. When he reached adulthood Varan again confronted his father and this time his father threw him out to live on the streets. He had little choice but to join the military and make a small living off that. During his time in the army he honed his skill in fighting and became a skilled axeman, he managed to get back on his feet and made a living. Varan loves being in the thick of a fight and loves serving his race and Princedom. He has little education therefore leading to most his actions being not well thought out and could end in a bad way however he tries to take nessecary precautions to remove said risk.

Physical Description: Golden Blonde Hair and blue eyes, along with pale skin. Short for a snow elf at 5'4". Muscular build. The Majority of the time he spends in armour.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
