Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

As Josephine enters the swamp, the first thing she does is take it all in. It's all so unfamiliar, the fear evident in my pace that's been reduced to that of a snails. Yet lit in Josephine's heart is the excitement of adventure, for only recently had she gained the freedom to roam and discover the world anew. As Josephine enters the torn and tattered tent, the old hag asks her why she's here, and Josephine can't help but wonder the same thing herself... Suddenly Josephine was asked to retell her story, told that her presence was an expected one. Josephine's eyes shot open, for while the hag may have been expecting her, Josephine wasn't expecting the older woman at all. Regardless she sat, albeit hesitantly, and began retelling her tale, from the beginning...
"What brings me here you ask? A question even I do not know the answer to. But why I'm here... I wish to learn." Josephine had a sparkle in her eyes as the words left her mouth. "I... Never got to see much of the world growing up. I was sheltered. Cooped up at home, kept in comforts. Eventually I ended up escaping , much to the detriment of, well..." Her gaze went away from the hag and instead to the ground, as if there was a guilt panging within Josephine's soul. "A- anyways!" Piping up and turning her gaze back to the hag as if her previous thoughts had never existed to begin with; "My goal is to see and learn things... I wish to understand the world better, however that may play out. So, here I am, walking all over creation, never knowing when the end may be in sight in hopes that maybe I'll find answers I didn't even know I was searching for..." Josephine sighed, as if releasing all the pent up exhaustion out of her body. Suddenly out of the blue, as if it were a natural instinct, Josephine followed up with an immediate question. "So since you asked me a personal question, if I may ask you... How do you know of my being?"
