Martin was born on the 10th of the Grand Harvest 1637. He was born and raised on a farm where he and his family grew a variety of produce. His farm was often invaded by bandits but the family managed to fight them off most of the time, losing a few livestock or supplies occasionally. Other than this his life is pretty uneventful; he wakes up, he works, he eats, he sleeps. He has grand dreams of becoming a master chef known throughout Atlas and beyond. He plans on moving out to maybe Dunshire as soon as he has scrounged up enough coin and courage to leave home.

They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
