My character wouldn't be so keen to talk to the stranger as mentioned previously, my character's family is extremely xenophobic and so he is, but for the sole fact that the gentleman is dressed nice I'd assume that my character would've kept on with the conversation. Snat would tell the gentleman that he arrived at the bazar so he can pick up fruit from one of the stalls and return them to his family, like aforementioned, again. Snat is in charge of all the food that comes in the house and what the family eats everyday.
Assuming that the gentleman would've ended the conversation shortly after, Snat would begin adventuring through the bazar for anything he can buy at a discount, of course. Snat isn't the wealthiest person.
