    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when you use information that you learned while out of character to your advantage while in character, despite your character never actually learning this info for themself. For example, you learned of a planned ambush out of character and then have your rp oc know about it despite having no way of learning about it in character.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is forcing other people's characters to do things without the player's consent, or making your own character unfairly powerful or even invincible in a way that breaks the lore of the world. For example, if someone were to state that their character suddenly rose to godhood and became invincible and all-knowing, that is powergaming.
