Volta was born to her parents, Torod and Mug, at the Rexdom of Krugmar. However, her parents are fairly aged now, participating in an increasing amount of raids so they may die honorably. Volta is supportive of their wishes, even if she may miss them in death. To have parents who will have died honorably pleases Volta, and someday she seeks the same glory after she had children of her own. She doesn’t see them often these days, as they are frequently absent from Krugmar.
Childhood was violent for her like many other uruks: she sustained particularly egregious scars on her back from childish misbehavior, which her ponytail conceals so she may hide her marks of tenacity and appear weaker than she is. She took to learning readily, and is an eager but poor student: slow to learn, but flexible. She is the youngest of 3 children, with an elder sister and eldest brother.
Volta is a crafty uruk, and favors the playing of musical instruments such as bone flutes. The construction of altars and monuments to spirits interest her, and on one particularly hot day when she was 11, Volta claims she saw Enrohk (spirit of bloodlust) with her own eyes, painted with gore and drawing the most beautiful patterns in the blood-soaked sand at the foot of a successfully hunted beast. Volta fled, and her young peers simply claim that the heat and sand was playing tricks on her. However, she will maintain to her grave that she saw what she saw, and considers it a sign: of what, she doesn’t know. In the end, Volta seeks to make her parents proud, and perhaps find a mate someday. She draws her inspiration for strength and heroism from Skalp’Raguk The Uniter in his actions for Orc-kind, and regard him as one of her idols for his actions as a previous Rex. Being 18 and mature, Volta wants to find her place amongst her kin, and gather glory like others have before her.
Volta swivels her head up and around, marveling at the multitude of bits and bobs for sale. As the man approaches, her body tenses, and her eyes narrow in suspicion at the man’s query. “Ug yub: but lat can’t ‘elp mi. Latz juzt a pushdug howlur! Leave mi, gruk?” She’d growl, glowering at the man as she insults and orders him to not bother her. His motives seem suspicious. Volta takes her step forward, leaving what she said for the man to mull over.
