Timothy Spruce was born in a small village, and a born thief. He grew up with Canonism, because he is a Highlander. But he didn't like the Canonism, or any religion, because he thinks it's just a fairy tale. That's why his parents abandoned him when he turned 12. Once he turned 12, he went to the big city to live there. Timothy didn't own any money, which made him a thief. He wanders around, doing nothing, and living on everything he can find. Due to his clothing, people don't really like to make contact with him. This made him lonely and paranoid.

They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
