Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Kane walks up to the gestured cushion as his eyes adjust to the dim candlelight. He studies the hag for a moment before moving to the cushion and sitting down. "Expecting me, huh?" He brushes the hair from his face. "Not sure I have much to tell. Grew up poor, got tired of it, left." He shrugs. "I figure there's more to life than working my folks dirt until I eventually pass it on. So I started wandering. Taking jobs here and there. Even picking up a sword." He leans into the hag's gaze. "Still trying to figure out what I'm supposed to be doing, I guess. That's what brought me here." He suddenly leans forward more. "It seems I've come to the right place."
