Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Edward sits, he feels calm. "My name is Edward, my family is made out of farmers and fishermen." He tries to make his next sentence in his head before continuing. "I have left my house to avoid being married to someone I definitely do not want to marry. So I have travelled to this very place to construct a new life for myself." He stops, looks around, as if he was lost but knew where he was at the same time. His gaze fell upon a pile of books, all named by words he could not read or comprehend. He then looked back to the elderly lady and said next: "I am looking for a job, I have worked in the fields when I was a little kid, and my fishing is not as rusted as my old gramp's. This is all I can say. Just a refugee trying to live life in a place far from his home."
