Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Violet hesitated before stepping forward, her delicate features framed by damp, tangled hair. Her violet eyes, the source of her name, reflected both curiosity and weariness. “I come from a small village far to the north,” she began, her voice soft but steady. “My family tended the orchards there for generations, but a blight took the land, leaving us with nothing.” She paused, glancing down at her hands. “I’ve been wandering ever since, hoping to find a way to restore what was lost.”
The hag leaned in, her eyes gleaming with interest. “And what brings you to this swampy place, child?”
Violet looked up, determination flickering in her gaze. “I heard there might be magic here—old magic that could help heal my village. I’ll do whatever it takes to bring life back to my home.”
