Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Hello Dear Sister. " - William said nicely.
"Brother Lasarus, how can I help you?" - The witch asked with a visibly friendly expression on her face, after which she removed her hood from her head and extended her hand towards William. She looked truly young (as witches are accustomed to), by eye one could estimate her age at nineteen.
"I had to leave Vidaus. We're not safe there anymore." - In a peculiar way, William answered, then shook the witch's hand with both hands, kissing that hand at the same time.
"I understand, are you looking for a place, where you can practice your studies and your..." - The witch glanced at the crossbow on William's back - "...profession as well." - The witch nodded with understanding.
After a moment, she told William: "Go to the lands of Waldenia or Salvo, both federations guarantees liberty and freedom for lodges and order. You can also find wild forests with plenty of local fauna. I will give you some mone to go. The long journey is waiting for you."
The witch went to the wardrobe with the symbol of a rose and a cross carved on the door, took out some silver coins from inside and handed them to the man. William looked at the money, then took an old book out of his bag and handed it to the witch in exchange.
"Thank you Sister Mary. Here is something that will be more useful to You, than to me. It is some Wiccan book I found in the library of Videos. Looks pretty interesting. I will also let Sovereign Grand Inspector General know about Your kindness."
Witch took a book, looked at it and nodded one last time.
"Okay, Lasar. If you want, I have some fresh beer and some sausages. You can stay here until tomorrow. It is dangerous to go to the mood in the dark. I will also prepare bath for you." - Mary said.
William, kindly accepted the offer, went for some beer just to join Mary later in the hot bathtub.
