Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Before Minralen could ask for directions from the hag, they are unexpectedly recognized by this stranger. Were they supposed top bring an offering? Maybe the offering is one of those things of knowledge- they've heard of that before- where people have told stories for a service. The wood elf would sit themself down as they then began to take in their surroundings, appreciating any sign of plant life as that eased them more into this unfamiliar situation.
"haha- yes uhm- its me...?" they gently tapped their leg as they mumbled, lost in their own memory before smiling directly towards the hag.
"I am a humble observer, my parents were an odd pair really, though they never really spoke on how they met- my mother was more occupied on nature and my father well- he didn't talk much!... so y'know boring chores and all that later I'm here! Got bored of it," they nod before quickly continuing, "but I do hope to settle one day, maybe like a tavern or something- I love hearing people's stories too..."
Now sitting in the silence, Miralen would break it with a clap of their hands before standing up from where they sat, "thank you for the listening ear, I needed it," their hand snakes up to their neck and gently rubs the nape. Once they ducked out of the tent, it was only then they really thought about that interaction. She was kinda scary. Unsettling. Oh well! Wandering awaited them.
