Despite her family's strong devotion to Aspectism and their faith, Arcaena prefers her books and woodworking studio. Although she is still supportive and firm in her belief of Cerridwen and Cernunnos, she still finds herself disagreeing with certain elements of the religion and is unsure about her total devotion. As a young girl, her father was killed in the Great War of Unity, where many seeds turned against each other. This led her to develop a distrust of anyone and a lack of social skills later on. Her mother became paranoid after her husband's death and forbid Arcaena to adventure through the forests with her friends, the one thing Arcaena felt truly free doing. Because of this, their relationship was strained and Arcaena distanced herself. Now, Arcaena has separated herself from her family and lives in solitude.
