How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: The use of resources that wouldn't be known to your roleplayed character.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is forcing unfair actions onto others that make you overpowered in RP. Actions such as having my character kill a group of 5 in one swing.

Your application has been put on pending. The following changes must be made before you can be accepted:

  •  Your Powergaming Definition is on the right track, though it’s not quite there. Take another look at our Wiki’s definitions for help, and I recommend including an example so I can tell you fully understand.

  • Your Skin is not up to LotC’s standards. Please take a look at our Skin Archive for references and free skins that you may use if you can’t find anything better.

  • Your Roleplay Scenario Response must include dialogue in quotes to distinguish the speaking from the actions.

If you do not make these changes within 24 hours, your application will be denied. When you are finished, please message me on discord @amelica#8025 to let me know. If you don’t have a Discord, send me a forum message; please don’t be afraid to approach me with any questions that arise.

If you still need help, make sure to check the wiki! I also highly recommend that you join our discord and read through the New Player Hub to gain access to a plethora of important links and information.

Congratulations, you’ve been accepted! Welcome to Lord of the Craft!

Now that you’ve been accepted, you will spawn in Cloud Temple as soon as you log in. You’ll also notice that you can now interact with the world around you. If you need any help, find yourself confused, or get yourself stuck in an unsavory situation, you can message me in-game by doing /msg Amelica [message]. If I’m not online, you can find me on discord  @amelica#8025. Additionally, if you find yourself needing any more guidance in-game and I am not around, please type ‘/creq [message as to what you need]’ into the chat and another Community Team Member will get to you as soon as possible!

After reading the information below and logging in to LotC, you will find yourself in Tutorial Island and the NPCs there will give you a thorough overview of how to roleplay on LoTC. If you find yourself still confused or want a proper, customized introduction to the world of Lord of the Craft, please run this command in the chat:

/creq I have just been accepted and would like a Wilven Monk!

Also, when you first join, the bot that automatically whitelists you after the acceptance of your application may be down. If so, please go into the wandering soul channel (type #ws in the chat) and ask for a Community Team Member to accept you!

Next, I highly recommend that you join the main LotC discord using the invite link below. Also, please look through the New Player Hub by clicking the second link!

In addition, I recommend that you take a look at our Settlement Guides. The settlements that you may be interested in based on your character’s race are linked below.

If you aren’t interested in any of those, take a look at our Settlement Guide Hub!
