    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when you learn information when your not in character and use it to change the situation while in character. [Example] You learn that someone is going to poison your drink OOC and you don't drink it during RP.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when you have an over powered character or do OP actions. [Example] The man pulled out his scythe and kills the other quickly.

Tuatha would look the man up and down, stunned to be talking to someone.

 

“Thank you, kind sir! I’m here to find somewhere to stay for the night!” she said while gripping his hands as a hand shake, bobbing with excitement.

 

The man, weirded out, just nodded and pointed in a direction, “Just follow the path...” continuing to give the direction and quickly scurrying off.

 

Tuatha, too excited to notice just continued to go without saying thank you.
