You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Myriil took a moment to asses the old hag, her piercing gazed seemed to see beyond the surface of things. "Well- umm.." Pausing, Myriil leaned a bit closer, lowering her voice. Her nose crinkled from the stench of the rotten wood and wet moss. "If you must know- I am a traveler, hoping to find a new home.. full of opportunities and riches." "You see.. I come from a small village up north.. there I have a beautiful family including my parents, and my two younger sibling." "My life there was already planned out ahead of me.. to which I would take over my father's farm. But- I don't want that!" Myriil took a small pause. The old hag's gaze intensified. Myriil continued, "I want a new life full of adventures.. not knowing what's next." "The roads I've traveling have taken me to here.. to the Land of Aevos." As Myriil finished speaking, she stretched her hand in front of her, measuring the time before sunset. "Well.. I must get going.. I still have a bit of a journey ahead of me." Myriil thanked the women for her hospitality and was off, ready for her next chapter of life in the city of Haelun'or.
