Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—” Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
"Oh! uhm, well... I suppose a small break doesn't hurt anyone..." The air weighed heavily in the room as Thalia approached the cushion in the tent and sat up straight, studying every corner of the tent as if at any moment she could bolt. "my story is long and uninteresting to most, but the look in youe eyes tells me you won't let up will yah... well, I'm happy to oblige." Thalia leans back relaxing a hair before taking a deep breath and starting her story. "my childhood was nothing special, I was taught the ways of the town Herablist in the forest village i used to live in, and the chef in town often took me in to babysit me and teach me when my mother was gathering supplies for the archers, she was the one making the bows whenever they needed new ones... it was peaceful for a long long while... oh i would say until the age of 9?" Thalia freezes before she could utter another word and stares into seemingly nothing before shaking off and continueing..."That was until the neighboring kingdom wanted to expand... burnt the whole village to the ground... I was off playing with some bunnies... I..."Shed stutter heavily before taking another deep breath. "I don't think anyone else made it out... it was during supper time... I miss them all dearly, but that's life... Now I'm trying to find a place to call my own... somewhere safe... I... don't exactly trust anyone yet... I saw your tent, and it reminded me of the Herbalist who taught me..." She'd look out the entrance of the tent before continuing in a hushed tone, "To be honest... I don't exactly want revenge... Just peace... and preferably some company..." She would look at the hag and smile a warm, open smile before asking back, "What about you? why are you all alone out here?"
