Finnian’s parents were immigrants from Atlas, his father being a soldier who fought for the Alliance in the Third Atlas Coalition war. Finn’s parents helped settle the Empire of Renatus in Arcas, and Finnian spent most of his early life in the city of Helena. By blood, he is a Highlander, specifically Hanseti. He grew up in a religious household, worshiping God in the Church of the Canon frequently, and is still very devout. From a young age, he admired his father’s career as a soldier and yearned to follow in his footsteps. He has trained to use a sword and shield, hoping one day to fight for the Holy Orenian Empire or to protect the innocent from evil. Now that he is an adult, Finnian is leaving his parents’ home to see the world, to experience adventure, and hopefully, to fight in battle.

She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
