How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is acting outside the realm of what the character can/should/would do. Often this is done by the player using knowledge gained inherently from the real world or recently learned via ooc global communications, etc.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is dictating the flow of events, preventing the dynamic progression of an encounter or the plot.
