    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming is a way of roleplaying that can break immersion from the game and is unfair to the player being acted upon. An example of this is emoting to instantly kill another player. To fix this you must give that player an option for what they want to

Thoruk, a member of the Braduk Clan and a Urak lost his whole family in war during the downfall of the clan itself. Since he has been an outcast with a steaming passion to take back what he had and give the Braduk clan glory once again for his family.He had recently discovered the shattered remains of his clan in his finding of the fe-orc Lukra and now is ready to fight under her and his clans name. Thoruk prides himself on his art making ability of things from the past, to remind himself of his family and what things were like before. Thoruk also has a passion for the Dulum, once played by his mother during wartime he believes this instrument has spiritual value to his life. Thoruk currently dwells with Lukra and the remaining members of his clan. He fellows her lead and knows that soon he will get his vengeance.

Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

Ø  Your metagaming and powergaming definitions are correct in essence, however they are very vague and lacking in detail. Please add more to these (Maybe examples too), and refer to our LOTC Metagaming & Powergaming wiki pages for the most correct and relevant info (Just keep in mind not to plagiarize)
