    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: When game information outside of what is available in a game is used to give a player an advantage in-game.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: powergaming, consists in achieving end game results (getting the highest and most favorable output possible) , ignoring everything else that constitutes the game as a whole. Aka, taking shortcuts in the game in a counter-intuitive way.

As a child he would be taken on by a crew of sailors travelling the coasts from port to port in order to make a living for himself and send a portion of it back to his family. He'd operate rigging, swab decks, and craft new parts for the ship, including tools and equipment. He didn't spend alot of time with then though he'd send letters to make sure they were alright, update them on current situations, and send payments. It was here he picked up his accent that makes him stick out like a sore thumb to other Highlanders. By 20 he'd been given the news that his parents had passed away of illness. In this case he decided to get off at the next port and take his payment in advance, and proceeded to roam the country side to seek his parents an a manor of respect. He'd head out into the world in search of somewhere that required his labour and skills.

Physical Description: He dawns a ginger beard and hair. Standing at 5ft11in, fairly muscular build with broad shoulders and strong legs, bright blue eyes, a Devonian accent
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
