Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
"Not much to say." Raffael responds, with a tone of indifference. Being met with complete silence, he continues: "I'm looking for work in the town. Looked in a few other places.. no luck."
"And what kind of labor are you looking for, "sir"?" She says ironically, intrigued by the clothes he's wearing, clearly more expensive than he's able to pay for.
"Anything really, I need to survive right now." He says.
"And what's with those clothes? Did you steal them?" She finally asks, tired of trying to guess.
"My family no longer wants anything to do with me, but that doesn't mean I have to give everything back right?" He makes a pause, then continues: "My father died a few weeks ago. Before he did, we had a fight for I wanted to be a soldier, and he wanted me to be into politics or whatever. A day before he died, he made sure I was no longer an heir to his fortune. Therefore, here I am. Jobless, starving, and waiting for you to tell me what to do in town."
