It wasn't long ago when Blood Bear Clan roamed the lands. Wars with elves and journey from Axios, 40 years ago, took it's toll on Clan's numbers. After reaching the land of Atlas, they struggled for 10 years to maintain their ways of living. Majority of survivors knew, that clan's doom was inevideble, as they would eventually starve. Around year 1654, most of leftovers split into smaller groups and merged with other clans. Even though Blood Bear never reached glory and always was a rather small tribe, the pride and loyalty towards ancestors did not allow some of them to abandon their tradition. So they set off in different directions, to seek new meaning and live with their failure.
One of those clanless orcs was Varthurg, one of Blood Bear's miners. His life before that event was filled with routine and work. That Uruk realized, that if he joins another clan immediately, he would never get a chance to change anything in his life. Varthurg concluded, that he must adapt, improve himself and gain both experience and fame. It was his ambition that pushed him to go alone.
