    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: The player getting info in rl, outside of the game. If Steve were to talk to Alex in real life about a war and gain info from it, they would be metagaming
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Showing god-like powers. If Steve's' character were to start flying, and gaining deity like ability's and turning into an omnipotent being

I take a step back, nervous, and hesitantly respond "I-I was just looking for food in the shops, it's for my grandmother, she is too old to travel out here, and she doesn't like the food found nearby." I knew that I haven't see my grandmother in a little under 3 years, but the gentleman doesn't need to know that.
