Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

She quietly sits down and without further questions, she gets deep into it. “I see you're curious about my story! -  It is not one of grand battles or heroic deeds, but one of quiet wonders and gentle discoveries. My name is Lumosa Comet, a daughter of the forest. I was born among the ancient trees, where the air is thick with magic, and the whispers of nature are ever present. My mother was a healer, known for her knowledge of the plants and herbs that grow in our forests. From her, I learned the art of medicine, the language of leaves and roots, and how to listen to the earth.

My father... was a herder, protector of its creatures and spirits. He taught me to respect every creature, big or small, and to never forget that all life is connected. I remember walking with him through the forests at dawn, the mist rising from the ground, and the sounds of birds and creatures awakening. Those moments shaped who I am today.

But it was during one of my solitary wanderings, after years of watching and learning, that I discovered something extraordinary - a hidden grove, untouched by time. In that sacred place, I saw a miracle. An ancient tree, its roots deep within the earth, gave birth to a creature of light, shimmering like starlight. It was a fae, a being of pure magic, and it was there that I truly felt the pulse of the forest. I realized then that magic is not something to be controlled—it is something to be nurtured and protected.

Since that day, I have traveled far and wide, seeking knowledge of the creatures that walk this world, the plants that soothe, and the magic that binds them all together. I do not seek fame nor fortune, only understanding. I long for a place where all creatures - both magical and mundane - can live in harmony, a sanctuary where nature and magic are not separate, but intertwined.

I hope to find that place one day, but for now, I wander, always learning. Perhaps... one day, you will join me on this journey?” She looks at the stranger with a soft, inviting smile, as if welcoming them into her world.
