Annabelle was born to a peasant family on the outskirts of Helena. The first years of her life, she grew up helping her parents farm the land and care for the animals, including cattle, sheep, chicken and so on. As the youngest of five children, she was often lashing out for attention, running off in the middle of the night and causing a ruckus wherever she went. Eventually, however, the constant wars and turmoil surrounding Orenia were too common for her family to luck out on. When raiders came to attack the countryside, she escaped in the chaos of the attack to the walls of Helena for safety. She had been separated from her family after the attack and unable to find them in the massive Empire wherever they may have gone. She has taken to the local library to pursue her dream of medicine in hopes of having enough money to travel in search of her family.
Today, she continues her study of medicine and search for a doctor to apprentice under, keeping her eyes out for her family and raising money where she can in hopes of being reunited with them.
“I am just looking for the nearest clinic, good sir!” Annabelle would smile brightly at him, bowing in thanks to his nice greeting. “I heard there was a doctor local to here who was very good, and I wanted to see if he had anything to teach me.”
