Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"My story; how I'd love to!" Wilhelmina's face erupts into a grin as she folds her hands over her knee and sits up proper. She clears her throat and makes active eye contact with the old hag. "My name is Wilhelmina the Younger," she begins, "and I've arrived here to make a profit. I grew up with my mother, Wilhelmina the Elder, and together we sold resources region to region (and, by all means, rest her soul). After her passing, when I was still quite young, I continued her business, and I have been very successful as a travelling merchant!" Wilhelmina pauses for a moment, her eyes fleeting to the ceiling as she taps her chin. "Though, I suppose I've had my fair share of chancy agreements." She shakes her head, and her smile returns to her face. "But, none about that, friend! I know this town will offer good customers..." — She eyes the few unruly and aloof folks trudging by outside — "Naturally," she adds with an insouciant shrug.
