Miracylea is not what you would call a normal High Elf. Although born to normal, pure-bred High Elves, Mira was orphaned not long after she was bon when a human band of thieves attacked her parents while traveling. One of the members, taking pity on the child, begged the other members to take her in as their own. Therefore, Miracylea was raised as a 'human' knowing nothing of her elven culture. Things did, however, become clearer as she grew older. Her childhood friends seemed to be growing older, while she kept her youthful features. Her bright eyes and hair and pointed ears seemed painfully apparent in the small hand mirrors she stole from homes and caravans. She refused to address her differences, relying on the smooth words of her adoptive mother, Gwenethyn, instead. After her death, Miracylea decided to set out on her own, using her elvish agility to perform the small thieveries she was used to in order to stay alive. She still holds a firm distaste to her own culture, finding herself wanting to be an elf less and less the more she learns. She often dyes her hair in order to distance herself from her race, and also avoid recognization for her small crimes. She has never known the true demise of her real family, as she was told she was found an orphan outside a human city.
