    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: In general; it's doing actions based on information your character should not know. For example if OOC I know that someone is planning to kill me, I can't avoid the area I was going to meet at even if I wanted to.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: When you don't keep in mind the realistic abilities of your character. A character without a bladed weapon can't really stab someone.
