    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: In roleplay, metagaming is someone taking their out-of-roleplay knowledge (that their character shouldn't be aware of) and using it to their characters advantage in the roleplay. For example, player A's character meets another character for the first time, but the person controlling the character A reads about the other characters backstory and immediately applies that knowledge to their own character's advantage.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is someone giving their character the upper hand (over-powered/unrealistic actions) in response to scenarios when it is not within their character's ability to do so. For example, if a player gives their character powers that instant-kills any opposing character they battle.
