The only child of the Human Valthorn family, Sonja was typically on her own, never receiving much attention from her parents, and thus had to solve her own problems. This grew into a greater sense of independence and strength. She would often train herself to use a sword (still a novice, but not horrible), and during her adolescent years, had an apprenticeship under the town blacksmith to learn how to forge her own weapons and armor. Eventually she decided to leave her trivial life in her village and set out on her journey. She travels completely alone, and in general, immediately dislikes others. Her trust is not given easily, so strangers are usually met with potential violence. Currently, her life has no true direction, but this does not upset her in the slightest. All she cares about is being tough, and not showing emotion. Recently, she's set her sights on the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska to see what glory awaits her there..

She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
