    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Using knowledge gained irl to influence the outcome in game even though the rp character would have no knowledge of said knowledge
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: It is where one is not logically able to perform a feet in the realm of reality, like if a small child were able to lift a boat with one hand. It is over powered and not logical.

Umbar was born in the city of Fenn where her parents ran a small crime syndicate, being the only child she was pampered and loved yet at a young age Umbra’s family was betrayed by a wood elf hired by her parents to help keep the house functional. The wood elf gained Intel incriminating the family of criminal activity, In the ensuing arrests Umbra attempted to save her parents but got accidentally slashed by a sword by a guard who was performing the arrest.  Umbra’s parents tried to come to their child’s aid but in the eyes of the guards they were attempting to resist and chaos ensued causing the death of Umbra’s parents. Umbra was promptly treated for her wound but the scar would persist through her life as well as her purposefully cutting it back open to ensure it stayed with her.   

 

It was on the eve of her fiftieth birthday that she had a chance encounter in the city of Holm with the guard that had struck her father down, She looked as his withered features with a sadistic grin on her face as she got revenge she long desired. It was after this that Umbra realized that she would also some day wither and die, it was at that moment that she set her sights not on simply surviving but on cheating death itself. 

 

She traveled town to town, city to city, searching for any knowledge that may save her from her slowly approaching demise while also earning any way she could torture the families of those who wronged her.

 

She is even willing to become the image of fear and hatred in completing her goals.

Physical Description: The character has dark blue hair with lighter blue eyes that is contrasted by the dark clothing they wore under a red hood.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
