Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Marigold laid aside her quiver and leaned it against the wall along with her yew wood-made bow. She carefully sat down on the creaky chair and rested her arms on top of each other on the table. Her eyes carefully examined the room in search of hidden details but they continued to be drawn to the old hag instead.
"I'm assuming I don't have much of a choice in that.." She begun, letting out a heavy sigh before taking a deep breath, to begin. "I'll start at the beginning. If it's not already obvious, I'm an elf. Part Mali and part Mali'aheral, or wood elf and high elf in common tongue. Though I never really got to experience what it was like to be a Mali'aheral. I was sort of seen as a bastard and instead got to live amongst my fellow brethren and sisters in the forests."
Marigold looked around the room again, as if she was searching for something. "Got anything to dr-" Before she could even finish her sentence, a pint was in front of her. Mari looked down with a shocked expression for half a second before she picked it up and held it in the air, toasting with herself.
"Right, umm... So I got to grow up in the forest. Learn the art of archery, foresting, hunting. I couldn't have asked for anything better. I'm proud to call myself a Mali. The Mali'aheral are always so... high and mighty. They could use an ego check."
