Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Luciano looked up to the figure with increasing suspicion of her seemingly acute knowledge of his arrival. However, something buried deep down inside allowed the words to slip past his lips, his story to be told to the mysterious hag. All wariness seemed to melt away the longer he stared at the older individual. Some sort of respect creeped over him, guiding whatever feelings he had into an entirely different direction from the one in which he begun.
"Well, I find it better fit for myself out in unknown lands rather than the comfort of a warm home." He said with more than just a hint of irony, a smirk tugging at his lips.
"You know, it would usually take a lot more for me to get to tell someone my background, especially someone as strange as you," he says without much care since truth seems to be spilling out, "My family was wealthier than I could care, giving too much attention to their riches than I. Neither me or my few siblings could handle the silent treatment. Why they chose to pay more attention to their money than their next of kin? Not a clue in my mind. However, I can tell you that the majority of us left of our own will. If I could recall, two of the eldest went away together; whilst the one younger than me just vanished." He finishes on that, with apparently not much care for the safety of them.
Luciano sighed, his attention snapping back to reality for just a brief moment. He couldn't remember when he had wandered in closer to the figure, let alone having leaned onto some sort of crate with his hands clasped together, as if telling a secret to a well known comrade. He raised a slight brow at this, but was otherwise blinded to the effect of the old hag.
"Have I rambled too much? I tend to do that.." He chuckled, fixing his hair behind his ear with a hand. Looking up to the hag, he sees that she hasn't spoke a word this entire time. However, he felt compelled to continue, no invisible force of tension holding him back to scream awkward.
"When I left, I don't think I had a single idea in my mind of where to go. I holed away on somebody's ship and ended up someplace else, got off and never looked back. I'm not surprised that I haven't been recognized, honestly. My family was wealthy, yes, but not well known." He ensures to add, idly looking up at the hag and zoning out entirely.
