How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is not using information that you don't know according to the roleplay. For example saying someone's name because it's above his/her head when you don't know his/her name according to the roleplay because you never met.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is not giving someone the chance to react to your actions. For example: just start to attack someone instead of emoting that you try to sneak behind him to attack.
