Born in 1684 in the Highlander nation of Haense, Sonairte Ni Dhomhnaill spent her early years tending to her parents small farm, entirely unaware of the past they had before her. Her parents, Auster and Caellaigh Ni Dhomhnaill (Born Edward and Antoinette Victorson, changed to blend more into the people of Haense), were lower nobility in Renatus. During the Second Atlas Coalition War Edward was caught deserting and was promptly exiled with his wife, leaving their old life behind to start fresh. They started their farm in the Haense lowlands, having their five children in 1671, 1674, 1675, 1679, and their last with Sonairte. Sontairte got six happy years before tragedy struck. In the year 1690 Calin told a friend of his parent’s past, not knowing his friend had joined a bandit gang just weeks before and was hungry for a way up in the ranks. Bandits attacked their farm hoping that their former wealth might be hidden somewhere in the farm, but only walked away with the children too young to fight. Calin, Edward, Antoinette, and two other of the once Victorson family were slaughtered that day. Sontairte was forced to work for the bandits, cleaning and cooking, being beaten and abused, often forced to take the lives of others while having never been informed of the life her parents once led. It was, to her, absolute hell. Years passed in this way, remaining the bottom rung, a slave, to these bandits. She made more than a few escape attempts but after being introduced to small doses of Baby’s Brain, she found she had a harder and harder time leaving, becoming more and more subservient and broken. She had almost resigned herself to this life until, one day, a set of heroes appeared to eliminate the bandit threat. Rather than follow orders and fight, a twenty year old, terrified, near starving Sonairte Ni Dhomhnaill collected what supplies she could before striking out to find a place to call home. A peaceful residence to remember her parents by where she doesn’t have to fight each day just to eat.
