Cayrien Sagespyre is a wood elf originally from Linandria, born the only child to a pair of wood elf artisans. Her parents taught her at a young age, skills such as weaving, wood carving, and hunting. Although she developed an interest in arcane magic, both her parents and the law forbid her from pursuing such interests. Instead, she was taught about the ancient seeds, the Aspects, and the forefather Malin. With her bookish knowledge and rustic life skills, at age 60 she left her childhood home and began traveling in order to pursue her interests in magic and to learn more about the world around her.

Despite coming from a background of Aspectism, Cayrien only loosely follows it’s teachings and is very open-minded. She still aligns herself with its core beliefs, however, that there is no creature greater than the wild and has profound respect towards nature. This sometimes interferes with her ability to understand urban society, as her love of the natural world far outweighs her knowledge of city lifestyle and other cultures. She has an easygoing yet adventurous personality. After years of being told that she must avoid certain interests because of her culture, she has learned a mindful silence and speaks up when she feels it’s important. Like other wood elves, however, she still holds family and friends at the highest priority in her life and frequently writes her parents. She is optimistic and a neutral good.
