Eldrin grew up with his parents, they lived in a forest. Eldrin and his father would go on walks in the forest, his father educated his son about their race’s history and taught him that nature is an important thing, and how they should always be connected to it. Eldrin and his father would meditate in the forest, collected herbs and berries. Eldrin’s father would also tell his son stories about his grandfather whom live in the Dominion of Malin and how the Dominion united the 3 elven races, which was something Eldrin’s father like about the Dominion, the unity. After a long day in the forest they’d walk back home and have dinner, his mother would make soup for her 2 sons and husband. Eldrin’s brother was an adventurer and in his 50s their would be a big age gap between the two. His brother taught him defend himself, but his father would be opposed that and believe they shouldn’t have to defend themselves, but they should reason with people and act peaceful, this would cause many arguments between Eldrin’s father and brother.
Eldrin’s mother on the other hand was fine with it, and only wished for her children to be who they want to be and believe in what they want to believe in. One day Eldrin’s mother asked him what he believed in, he said “I want to be strong like my brother, so I can defend myself and my family, but I also want to be able to reason people in conflict, I want to be able to be like my father and brother” Eldrin’s mother smiled when he said that and believed in him. His father on the other hand didn’t like that. Eldrin’s brother one day went on an adventure, but never returned, Eldrin knew his brother most likely died, but still wanted to find his brother.
A year later his mother suffered from an illness and died. Eldrin and his father were the only ones left. One day the two went on a walk and talked, his father was began to talk about his elder son and soon came to the the conclusion that he is fine with his younger son’s beliefs and told him if he wanted he could leave the forest for the first time and go explore the world.
I’d smile at the man “Hello there, I came to this very lovely city to explore and learn about new things like the history, magic, and culture” I said feeling a bit nervous about what my future may contain.
