Alice Goldbride was born to a upper-middle to high class merchant family in Arcas, just outside the kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska in the year 1781 FE. The Goldbride family is known for high-quality trading work, products offered by them shown in most major cities. They are highly prolific in their operations, though most all people know nothing of them as they operate solely in the minutia of everyday life. Alice was kept inside and educated heavily her entire childhood, unallowed to associate with other children or go outside the bounds of their property much at all. She spent her young life yearning to go outside and adventure for herself. She would commonly spend time in a small garden of sunflowers kept by their gardener, an older woman who taught Alice a little about the world beyond the walls of the property. After the gardener's passing, her parents had the sunflowers all chopped down (despite Alice's protests.) They called them wild, untamed flowers that had no place in a sophisticated garden. At age eighteen, she was engaged to be betrothed by her parents for a lucrative deal to come to fruition. On this day, she finally broke free from them and left to explore the world on her own, a wild and unkempt sunflower tucked behind her ear. She sold the dress she was wearing during the announcement to gain some basic adventuring gear with a sunflower decal she painted on herself. She has been traveling for a couple months at this point- She is a newcomer in most every sense, but seems to have made her way through most fights thus far based on luck and throwing her opponent off their guard by not following most any sort of typical fighting strategy. She is currently settled in Elysium, a frequent adventurer with the Rangers.
"Ah!" Alice's face visibly brightens as she realizes the man is talking to her. The energy she feels from exploring without her parents and truly existing on her own still gets her riled up, regardless of how long she's been away.
"Hello, sir!" She thrusts out her hand for a firm handshake, not waiting for a response before continuing. Her clothes are muddied and torn in places, a shoddy style betraying her educated accent.
"I'm here to continue my quest!" Her hand remains outstretched, a wide toothy smile plastered on her face.
