Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Owens jumps slightly, but cautiously sits down on the cushion. "Um...well...my name is Marley Owens; I was once a lighthouse keeper, but I was...ahem...dismissed. I have been looking for another job. I recently received a letter from a Captain Cornelius Fellowmere that he needed a lighthouse keeper." He pulls out a weather-stained letter, shows it to the old woman, and stows it back in his cloak. "I agreed to take the Job. We agreed to meet during Horen's Calling, so I am on my way there." Owens shrugs, gets up, and exits the tent, disappearing into the fog.
