    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Meta gaming is when a person uses the internet (out of character) to find information on a subject or person. This is not allowed for it ruins part of the roleplay idea, which is to expand your knowledge as you go along on your journeys.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming is unrealistic or "unfair" emote or response language that will show superiority over another player, and would ruin many good roleplay scenarios.

I don’t remember much about my past, but that does not matter for all that matters now is my future. When I was a boy, my parents disappeared, not just from my town, Curon, but also from my memories. I had heard stories about such happenings but had always believed them to be false. My parents gone,  never to be seen again, I swore an oath of blood to extinguish the darkness. I traveled far and wide, learning skills to fight the dark, I made friends, and lost family. I will not fail my oath. I am Aaron Brookwood, and I will  finish what I started.

I have never found a place to call home, and have never known any relatives. I learned many skills from my companion, Elfrom, a high elf who is not like the others. We fought many battles, and on one fateful day, my only companion died at the hands of the dark. The last four years of my life I have been searching for a meaning to life, of which I still have not found. I will travel far, make bonds, and extinguish the dark. I will travel the empire, from city to city, and seek the darkness.

I plan to find whatever caused my parents disappearance, and I will try to recover my memories. I can hope that I find a wizard that can see minds. I have heard of a few, but have never seen any. Maybe they could help me with my memories. I would seek the outposts of an evil wizard and find my parents, whom I had heard lay hidden there. I heard of strange happenings in Krugmar, the orcish city. I will seek my parents and my memories, and I will find what took them away from me.I  know not of any kind of magic strong enough to do what it has to my parents.

Physical Description: height around 6' 2" .Has blue eyes and a muscular body build, is still agile and swift. Brown, medium length hair. wears cloaks and loose clothes.
Roleplay Scenario:

Aaron turns to the man, and addresses him “kind sir, I thank you for your hospitality, but I am afraid I have no time to spare. I am headed for the market to prepare for a long and dangerous journey, so good day, and do not delay me.”  

The man looks saddened by the abrupt end to the conversation but understands. This Aaron fellow looks like somebody not to be messed with.

“fare thee well then, and tarry not.” the man said, and walked away.

Aaron mumbles under his breath “waste of my time i do say...”

You cannot have this in your backstory, as it doesn’t comply with server lore and you cannot start off with magical afflictions or happenings. This should all be done through roleplay in-game. You can speak about Shade magic, though this part doesn’t seem 
    • “I look up, and my parents, cloaked in darkness, are enchanting me, trying to take me to the dark. I look down, and see blood. my blood, and i realize, i don’t remember anything. I watched my parents flee to a dark mountain, never to be seen again, and from then on swore an oath of blood to extinguish the darkness. I traveled far and wide, learning skills to fight the dark, I made friends, and lost family. I will not fail my oath. I am Aaron Brookwood, and i will  finish what i started.”
  • You mention “ the great collapse” in your Character Biography, though the only Great Collapse I know of certainly didn’t happen within 20 years ago. Please correct this accordingly. 
  • Please fix your grammar, punctuation, and spelling to the best of your ability. I recommend using a program to check your grammar. Grammarly is a free one.

  • Apologizes, didn’t catch this a moment ago. But “Rilath” is very old and not something that just anyone would know. You can reference Shade magic, and your character can believe that the family might have been dark, but this is something that he wouldn’t know. Just remove this part from your Character Biography, and you’re good.
