Born in a nomadic lifestyle in the Sultanate of Haria, Laila spent a lot of her life with her family as travelling merchants. They'd travel the desert trying to peddle their goods, typically being oriental rugs and exotic fruit (a typical norm in the Harian economy). Besides the occasional merchant deal, Laila didn't get much outer-social interaction and was constantly taught of the religion and lifestyle. To pass the time when travelling she'd learn to play instruments and grew fond of music. This led to her often playing at parties though growing up and seeing other cultures had herself questioning the state of her religion and culture norms. Jealous of the lack of restrictions other races had, she'd begin to be against her norms and how restrictive it was. After conflict of wanting to not wear the hijab, she ran off as to go live a much more free life full of liberties. Now she wonders lonely roads trying to sell whatever she can but also playing instruments for money whenever she can. Though with Sutica's nature of offering a home to anyone, she is highly considering continuing her bard duties there.
