You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Pearlie sits down, still weary of her surroundings and of the lady that has invited her into her tent. She has sailed the seas long enough to get used to the smells around here, but even this place has a strong stench that she cannot shake off. The warmth of candlelight is a nice retreat from the crashing and splashing of ocean waves, it's rare to find a place as inviting as this, she might as well take it in.
Pearlie sits up with confidence, "My name is Pearlie, It's felt like a long time since I've set foot onto land...". Pearlie stops and thinks, wondering if now is a good time to ask questions regarding her retirement, "Say, would you know of a nearby town looking for ship hands like myself to settle?"
