Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?)) He took a seat on the cushion and thought to himself, "Where do I begin?" Recalling his past, he remembered how his father had trained him to be a knight, a dream they both shared despite not being from a noble family. With a shaky voice, he recounted his journey from the Commonwealth of Petra, where his father had trained him until his untimely death. With tears in his eyes, he spoke of continuing his training alone and the kindness of an old lady who took him in, teaching him the basics of survival. In return, he did odd jobs to save money, but just before his 18th birthday, she too passed away, leaving him heartbroken. Yet, he persevered and eventually received a letter and a call that brought him to the present moment, where he looked up at the hag and said, "That's it."
