Silveress

Born to a scholarly high elven father and a snow elven mother known for her skills in spearmanship against monsters and foes of the Mali’fenn, Silveress was born as the middle child in a nearby hamlet to the city of Fenn. Having been exiled from Haelunor for his impurity in having children with a snow elf, Silver's father named her after the great Silver City of Elcihi'thilln in remembrance of his heritage. The family of five lived out their lives in this small village until tragedy struck them in the form of a group of religious fanatics hoping to appease their Daemon god in the form of mortal sacrifice.

Silveress, being only thirteen at the time of this happening, had gone out into the woods to collect fresh vegetables and herbs for her mother to make breakfast. Yet, before she knew it, the village had been engulfed in the bright red flames of a white-cloaked mage. The elves in the village melted by the dozens, most being unable to escape the sudden bursts flame in time to save themselves or even get their children to safety. Silver saw this happening from her distant perch far from the fire, foolishly forcing herself to run after the dastardly group who had done this to her home. This earned her a fireball to the face, the mage of the criminal party taking pity on the scrawny elf and only taking (the majority of) her vision and her memories from her through this burst, rather than her life.

Passing out from the blast, Silver was awakened to find herself on the ship of a friendly dark elf, only known to her as “the cap’n!”. It was here on this pirate ship that she worked and grew up through her teenage years, this dark elf quickly becoming a fatherly figure in her eyes. Due to the unfortunate way that she had left her befallen family, most of her memories remained scattered, and she had to relearn both common and elvish, giving her the unseemly accent of the rest of the pirates on this ship.

One day after setting port back near what used to be her hometown, she lost track of her crew, the ship she had been calling home for years having mysteriously disappeared for reasons unbeknownst to her. Silver now wanders the realm in her misguided youth, instead adopting the life of a street rat, liar, and thief along side many other terrible influences. She has an appearance of kindness and keeps a general upbeat and humorous demeanor, but despite this, she has thus far led a dishonorable life that she attempts to keep under wraps from those who she hopes to charm.

There are many things about her past and life itself that she still does not know, but as she slowly regains her memories, she is only filled with a brighter, burning resolve to keep herself alive as the future awaits her.

((Some OOC notes to my application: Hi! I've been RPing as Silver for around three years now, and gave her a bit of a rework to try and best fit her into this server's lore ? I also totally realize that the "hometown burnt by fire" thing can be a little overused, but the RP that I did while figuring out her backstory was done with another player years ago, and I would like to respect the lore already RPed by instead making up for a rather tried origins with a more unique later life. I am open to suggestions if you have any, but I would like to try and stay as close to this if possible as I worry about core parts of her character being lost. Thanks for giving all of this a read!))
